Win 7 freezes. I can log in. I go to a site and suddenly the screen freezes. Does anyone have a possible solution?

Does the system freeze or just the browser? Please explain your situation IN DETAIL. Also, What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

The system freezes. I just realized I downloaded the new version of Mozilla Firefox. I just eliminated it and went back to a prior version and the freezing is gone. Thank for responding...it is so good to have a buddy when something like this happens...but this time I cleaned up the mess myself.
