PC slowed down and almost unresponsive.

Issue turn out to be hardware rather than software. Sorry for posting in a wrong section.

Access and reading times to one of my disks spiked 200x times. Trying chkdsk and defragment right now but it will take hours to finish. WD utility found some issues but couldn't fix them. Could be that my hard drive is dying, though it is the newest out of 4 in my system.
