Open up the main virtualbox Window (where you click to start the Virtual OS).

Right click your Virtual OS and select "settings". In the window that pops up click "Network". Make sure "Enable Network Adapter" is checked and select the following for the other two settings:

Attached to: Bridged Network
Name: [Name of your LAN card]

Leave all "advanced" settings on their default values.

Any change? If not, what firewall are you running on the host PC?
