Here in the UK we get X-Factor which is basically the same - you've got Simon Cowell etc....I got hooked but i prefered the preliminary auditions where they show all the people who can't sing. I've got my favourite selection of great X-Factor mess-ups and i'll paste the links below:

This one is so funny i nearly fell off my chair:

This one you might find funny if you know Eminem's music,

There's more and if you find them funny, i can find the links!

I enjoy the tryouts more than the actual show.
But my favorite contestant is Paris Bennett .
Is she still in the running.
Have missed some episodes lately

American Idol Rocks!

IMHO

Chris Daughtry is definitely the man to beat! He has the best voice and definitely great star power. Other bests are Ace Young and Taylor Hicks.

For the females, I would pick Paris Bennett with Katherine McPhee and Kellie Pickler following. Paris has a pure voice that adapts to her music.

I'll put a Coca Cola on Chris to win.

I must also say, Simon is doing a great job. <- best Judge of the season

Never watched and never will. I hate pop music. Call me when Jamie Josta is hosting a show like this.

I like the tryouts and thats about it. I watch it if there is nothing on or if I am not busy. I have not watched it in weeks so I do not even know who is on anymore. I do wonder who will win.

My guy from SC got booted off for forgetting his lines...what a shame

Who cares? I don't understand why anyone would "idolize" people without talent (except mimicry) in the first place.
Cheers,
John

the point is these people are talented just look at idol winner kelly clarkson she is a best seller all over the world .look at jenifer hudson she did'nt win idol but just won an academy award for best supporting actress.
sorry john but i think the talent from the show speaks for itself

dougherty was the best thing to come out of this show. He didnt win but he has outsold every other Idol winner excluding Kelly Clarkson. And he's just another Nickleback/Chevelle artist (something the world could live without). But that doesnt mean I dont like to look at Kelly Clarkson. there is a reason why my remotes mute button is worn out. this show is almost usless at this point. No artist since KC has won and done anything with their career except fail sadly.

I still enjoy it. There are a lot of talented people on the show, and if you like the music they are singing, it is fun to watch.

Carrie Underwood, from last year?, definitely did not fail. She is a huge success in country music.
