Hello,

I just replaced an inverter for a Compaq laptop but I'm running into something I can't find help for. As soon as I plug in the laptop to power (plug or battery), the back light turnes on and will not turn off unless I remove Power. Its odd that the moment the laptop receives power, it turns on the backlight even with the laptop not being turned on. Any help?! I have tried two different inverters and I don't have a way of testing the inverter. I have tried looking on the internet for help but can't seem to find anything that makes since. Also when I started the computer the screen was flicking like it was set too high but even with the latest drivers I could not turn down the frequency to make the screen stop flickering. I pluged up and external monitor and it looks right as rain so it is just the laptop screen that I am having an issue with.

Any help would be great!
