Hi there, I have a self built water cooled pc that's been running for 8years. PC recently developed a problem of not being able to boot. Pc will post and try to boot but not complete. looks like a cooling issue. ideally i don't want to fault find the cooling loop as i suspect the pump is ko'd. All i need is to retreive the log in details for a website. os is xp home, ie8 installed. website set up with temp details ie 10 min mail address, so can't resend password or reset. I'm looking to decrypt password store for ie 8 or somehow virtualize the whole xp system and run under windows 7. Any help will be greatly welcomed.
Dave.

I'm not sure what you mean by these words.

IE8 is the browser...not sure what password store you are talking about. IE 8 has an autocomplete feature...but I have always thought that website passwords are part of the data that is maintained in respective cookies for websites. I don't use the browser autocomplete function.

But...take a look at the data under Passwords at http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=348 .

I know nothing about virtualization, but if you mean that you want to re-establish XP as a virtual install on a Win 7 system...that topic can probably be best explored in the Win 7 forum.

You may want to review some of These Links.

Louis
