The best software that I can find is PS Tray Factory but even that fails because when I connect to the remote PC the tray icon
of the remote PC comes back again :o

I cant do that registry hack that removes all the tray icons because I need some tray icons.

And other registry hacks don't seem to work or I cant find the one..

I want to remove the tray icon of the software but it still needs to be running

I'm not asking for much.. just the tray icon :o

Just basically hiding it using the windows feature "Hide icon and notifications" is not enough because
the user can simply click the arrow to view all tray icons (Windows 7 by the way)

Maybe you could try the software yourself and see if you can hide the remote icon?

As you can see from this image, it only offers to remove system tray icons not other software
