I've re-installed 98 on a friends computer and no probs with that.

I have her settings and mail saved on a second drive. All I wanted to do was to import these files into the new installation.

I can't get passed we need to install MSM E-mail, it "detects" the modem (which is there!) but then says it wants to install the windoes drivers and I can't go any further.

Is there any way I can get round this annoying part to just put the settings in?

I have had trouble installing a modem on W98 and the best way is to install the drivers.
