Firefox Download Manager

Is there a way of overiding the firefox download manager. I really don't like the fact there is no pause/resume feature and would like to add a third party manager if it's possible.

There are no unanswered prayers but sometimes the answer is no.

There are several FF extensions to allow you to use other d/l managers.


The most promising extension seems to be "Downloadwith" on the first page.
