Amazon lists the HP Envy 17-3070NR twice.

Here is one listing:
http://www.amazon.com/HP-17-3070NR-17-3-Inch-Laptop-Silver/dp/B006YD6Q78

Here is the other:
http://www.amazon.com/HP-ENVY-17-3090NR-Laptop-Silver/dp/B006WQ5W9K/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1339600231&sr=1-2&keywords=HP+Envy+17-3070NR

Are these the same machine? What's the difference?

Different size hard drives and different CPU. The listings do not seem to be all that clear.

They are different models.
One is a Envy 17-3070NR
the other is a 17-3090NR

I would go to www.hp.com
http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Laptops/Laptops?SearchParameter=%26%40QueryTerm%3D*%26CategoryUUIDLevelX%3DjeEQxXjbj14AAAE0syxcZzOW%26TieredPricing1%3D%255B1200.0%2BTO%2B9999.99%255D%26%40Sort.TieredPricing%3D0&PageSize=15

And see if any of the other Envy models would be better.

Good Luck
Roger

Thanks for catching that, Roger. I was really looking to get the 3070.
