So a couple days ago (it might have been right after updating to Firefox 13; I'm not sure) I went to check my email (my old college email, powered by gmail). It wouldn't load, but just spun on and on before giving me the message: Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

So I Google that, but now Google search won't work. So I use Bing. It tells me to clear my cache and cookies, and to make sure I'm allowing cookies from 3rd parties. Done, done and done. But the problem persists.

On a whim, I also clear my form & search history. Then I do a Google search, and it works like a charm! I go to load my email, and... crud. It's still messed up. Strangely, when I try a Google search AFTER trying to load my email, it doesn't work until I clear my form & search history again.

I can't get into Google Analytics either. I tried a Google-powered website search on tvtropes.org. It was extremely (and unusually) sluggish, but ended up working after I had left to do something else.

Full MBAM scan showed nothing. Spybot didn't show anything either. I tried re-updating Firefox; this did nothing. I didn't do a full un-install and re-install for fear of losing my bookmarks and such.

I run Windows XP, and am able to use these Google-powered services in Internet Explorer, but IE is kinda the browsing equivalent of tying one hand behind your back.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Run and post a MiniToolbox log as outlined in This Topic.

As far as suggestions right off, have you tried running FireFox in safe mode?

How to run it in Sade Mode (addons disabled): http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

The problem still came up when I ran Firefox in safe mode. Here's the MiniToolbox log. (The lines about McAfee errors are a little surprising, given that I thought I got rid of that long ago, but that's neither here nor there.)
