************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

please help why i am getting this error and also my pc is laggy
is this serious problem?
operating system-xp service pack 3
ram-dual core 2ghz

Please post the error message itself...JIT debugging is not particularly useful, IMO.

What version of Visual Basic are you running? Did you try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it?

Unfortunately...your posted screenshot cuts off the top part of the error box, which contains information that may help identify the problem.

All I can see from what you posted...is that JIT debugging is involved. JIT debugging is something that exists in various MS applications, including Visual Basic and, I believe, MS Office.

Try downloading and installing: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=33 . Press the red Download button, save it to your desktop, then run it.

Please...Publish a Snapshot using Speccy - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic323892.html/page__p__1797792#entry1797792 .

MS.NET 1.0/1.1 came preinstalled on some systems (notably MCE systems) and seems to be necessary to such systems.

The link is for an SP update to 1.0/1.1...it matters not at all that you have MS.NET 4.0 installed, since the versions are not necessarily cumulative.

Thanks :).

You were correct, I see no trace of any NET version other than 4.0 and there is no indication of Visual Basic.

To be honest, I can only guess that it's a problem with your instalation of MS.NET 4, seems to have the usual number of user complaints.

What I would do is uninstall MS.NET 4 and instead install NET 3.5, SP1 and see if the issues continue.

Worth reading, http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/netfxsetup/thread/98ec6980-3d03-4944-b771-a9159a42225d . If one of your startups is the problem...following the suggestion made by the Mod there will be the proper step to take.
