I get a daemonu error msg popup every time I start up WinXP:

szAppName : daemonu.exe szAppVer : 1.4.28.0 szModName : daemonu.exe
szModVer : 1.4.28.0 offset : 0005f90b

C:\DOCUME~1\Bill\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER3f62.dir00\daemonu.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Bill\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER3f62.dir00\appcompat.txt

Someone told me

daemonu files most often belongs to product NVIDIA Update Components. Ask about this in Internal hardware.

http://www.file.net/process/daemonu.exe.html

I would try uninstalling it...I see no real reason for an update manager for nVidia drivers. The misconception that drivers need constant updating...I believe that's a carryover from years ago...just not true today.

Uninstalling nVidia update fixed the problem.

Thank you!
