I'm looking into a 990FX upgrade soon and have been eyeing the sabertooth (AMD) for a while now. Is this a bad time to be upgrading to this? I'm not sure exactly how old this mobo is and/or if there is a newer model coming out in the near future that I should be waiting for?

I'm not too good with keeping up to date with new releases.

THANK YOU

990FX chipset is about 1.5 years old at this point. I haven't heard of any rumors of a new one coming out yet, even though the new "Piledriver" CPUs are due out within the next 6 months. Usually with AMD they'll drop the new chipset a few months before the CPU release so the boards are ready to go when the CPU's hit the market .
