Hi,

I have a Dell D610 and I'm trying to get WiFi to work on it. I have just installed a fresh copy of XP Professional (SP3) on it because of this problem and it still persists. I have other computers on this router like the laptop I am typing on which are working perfectly fine. When I go into command prompt I get the following.

C:\Documents and Settings\Robxxxx>ipconfig /all

C:\Documents and Settings\Robxxxx>netsh winsock reset catalog

Sucessfully reset the Winsock Catalog.
You must restart the machine in order to complete the reset.

C:\Documents and Settings\Robxxxx>ipconfig /all

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure what "Autoconfiguration IP Address" is but all I know is that it shouldn't be there and that IP address shouldn't even be in my house. I have also tried "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew" and get the same result. Not sure what to do. Seems that resetting the TCP/IP that way is only temporary as well.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks. Tom
