Hello! I'm hoping someone here can help me with a problem that's been plaguing me for literally an entire day. I'll try and make this short: I woke up this morning, and my brother had somehow gotten this thing on my computer called "RivalGaming". Did some research, and it's a free game website, and in exchange for games, they place something on your computer that displays advertisements. The advertisement highlights certain words on a webpage as orange, and if you hover over it, a pop up comes up selling some product.

I've been googling all morning, all afternoon, and now all night. I've run Kaspersky (my main AV), Malwarebytes, Kaspersky TDSSKiller. Someone with a similar problem to mine was recommended ComboFix, which I downloaded and used. The first four scans found NOTHING. Combofix found some stuff, deleted it, but nothing happened it to RivalGaming.

I ended up manually searching my computer for anything tied to "RivalGaming". I deleted stuff from my Programs>Rivalgaming, Localdisk>Owner>Local, and a few other locations. Rivalgaming persists despite all of this!

I'm out of ideas and am tearing my hair out in anger. I'm using google chrome, and if I open it's personal task manager, I can see RivalGaming running as an extension and an AddOn. I have no option to disable them in the extensions menu however. I can close them via the task manager, but as soon as I close and reopen Chrome, they're back.

If anyone can please steer me in the right direction of getting rid of this burdensome adware, I'd appreciate it more than I can ever put into words.
I don't know what else to do and need guidance.

Hello having run ComboFix we need to see that and a DDS log.

Please go here....
Preparation Guide ,do steps 6 - 9.

Create a DDS log and post it in the new topic explained in step 9 which is here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.
Skip the GMER step and instead post the ComboFix log you have.

Let me know if that went well.
