Hello,

Sorry if this is in wrong forum.

I am running XP SP3 and installed Kies ( Samsung Mobile Device Software ) I got it to install, and then I tried to open it and it reads error message said to install .Net Framework 2.5 or 4.0 I did that, actually 3.5 as well. Now when I click to open it reads Kies has encountered a problem and needs to close, send error report...... And thats it. Thats what it does everytime. I have uninstalled it 2 times and put it back on, same result. Anyone else know of this, had it happen?

Sorry again if in wrong forum. Help and advice much appreciated..

Thank You

Are you running SP3? As is stated in the troubleshooting section from Samsung

<<...error message said to install .Net Framework 2.5 or 4.0>>

Possible typo but there is no Framework 2.5 version...and the system requirements are Framework 3.5, SP1 or later. 3.5 is a different version than 3.5, SP1.

Are you installing Kies from the web or from a disc/cd?
Sincerely,

Brian
