my computer ,a compaq PC SR5123WM,running windows vista, was working as usual, then it froze, which happens frequently, and now it take about 5 full minutes to get to desktop,
it went to a blue screen that said it was collecting for a crash dump,so i restarted it,another 5 inutes to get to desktop, and when i again tried to open task manager, after about 45 seconds, same thing happens again.i restart the computer again, but this time in safe mode,it starts quickly in safe mode.i know virtually nothing about computers, how can i get it running properly again?

Let's try the following.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html .

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When autoscan is done (screen comes up), click Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.
