Here are my files.
I have a replicating email of the fake Fedex notification variety and the "Fake AV win 32 Virus". It was detected by my AV program and treated and deleted but because it replicates continually it keeps returning.
My AV program actually got stuck on it when it was found and the file replicated while it was being treated so it just hung there for hours until I paused it removed the files (temporarily) and then the AV continued and treated them but back they came. This process has been continuous and just wont go away.
It came in an email and when sent to the deleted items folder it just replicates by the thousand whenever I opened my Windows mail program.

Thanks a lot for your help too, it is much appreciated.

Hello, Welcome to BleepingComputer.
I'm nasdaq and will be helping you.

If you can please print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps.
===

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.
  • alternate download link 2
    • Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
    • Double-click on Download_mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
    • When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
    • When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:[list]
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Then click Finish.
  • MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.
  • On the Scanner tab:
    • Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected.
    • Then click on the Scan button.
  • If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button.
  • The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient.
  • When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".
  • Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.
  • Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below)
  • The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

For complete or visual instructions on installing and running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware please read this link

Post back with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log once it's complete.

Third party programs if not up to date can be the cause infiltration of an infection.

Please run this security check for my review.

Download Security Check by screen317 from here.
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

Note: If after running ComboFix you get this error message "Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion." when attempting to run a program all you need to do is restart the computer to reset the registry.

Please post the logs for my review.

Please let me know if the problem persists.

The Problem still persists with numerous attempts to send emails when "OE" is open as well as multiple copies of the Replicating email still in the deleted folder, with the same received dates but nothing newer than March/April and nothing on the Internet email server.
I'm taking it to the Computer tech again as they owe me either a fix or refund and if their attempts fail again and you have nothing else to offer I will do a HDD Format and start again over the weekend.
My laptop just slows down too much and all "Not Responding" messages followed by a hard reboot from me will take a toll on the HDD. (I call a hard reboot taking the battery out to reboot, as the ON/OFF function just freezes)

"Fdisc" the ultimate virus removal tool.

Waiting to see what is next.

All help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Your ComboFix log is clean.

Secure your system by updating 3rd party programs.

Your version of Java is outdated and needs to be updated to take advantage of fixes that have eliminated security vulnerabilities.

Check your present version and update as recommended.
https://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

If present remove the old version(s) of Java using the Add/Remove Programs applet.

Try the OE setting as suggested on this page. It may help.

I now use Windows Live Mail. When I was using OE I had placed my e-mail address in my contact list.
If ever the computer was sending a message from to my contacts I would get one also indicating that this malitious action was on.
