Hi, after running Ewido, can you post a new hijackthislog please?

Anyway also delete these files present here (from your other screenshot) if still present:

Hi,

No need to post screenshots of hijackthis, I already see in your log what needs to get fixed as well.

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = about:blank
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = about:blank
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winsysupd] C:\\winsysupd12.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winsysban] C:\\winsysban12.exe

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

I also suggest you run a panda online scan.

* Perform an onlinescan with panda: (please use this scanner instead of any other scanner!)
Panda Online
- Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
- A new window will open...click the Check Now button
- Enter your Country
- Enter your State/Province
- Enter your e-mail address and click send
- Select either Home User or Company
- Click the big Scan Now button
- If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
- It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
- When download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan
- When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location.
Post the contents of the Panda scan report in your next reply.

By the way, did you disable some programs in your msconfig > startup?

Let's take a look.

Open notepad and copy and paste next bold in it:

regedit /e peek1.txt "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg"
regedit /e peek2.txt "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder"
type peek1.txt >> startup.txt
type peek2.txt >> startup.txt
del peek*.txt
start notepad startup.txt

Save this as look.bat , choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
This is how the batch must look after you created it: Posted Image
Doubleclick on look.bat and post the contents of it also in your next reply

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following.....

done

I also suggest you run a panda online scan.

will go try now, thanks for the hint  and there is me thinking avast got some award lol

By the way, did you disable some programs in your msconfig > startup?

yeah some programmes i didnt want starting every time i start the pc. although i dont think i did it in msconfig lol

ahh i remember now i used some software and it probably did whatever i would have needed to do in msconfig for me? i think possibly, either way yes i did want to turn off programmes from starting up

as for the look.bat

when i open the file it opens and then goes to notepad? is this right because something flashes up and then closes, or looks that way anyway

either way

Well, nothing there disabled in msconfig. Only clicking one time on look.bat was more than enough.

Don't understand either why you posted your reply two times in one thread.

oh my sorry for both lol  i think i clicked back by accident maybe :flowers:

anyway Panda is off and running now

except Avast decided to pop up and say Abort Connection lol

so i turned it off would this be very bad or not? i mean would having a firewall [sygate] be good enough to turn off Avast - although it didnt do much in the first place lmao so what am i thinking about

anyway thanks greatly for your help

Uuuhm, I still recommend to run the panda scan as it may find files Avast doesn't flag yet and turn off Avast because it interferes with the scan apparently.

Don't forget to post the panda log.

Ow, think I misread here. So it's your Avast that was being stopped? Better to reinstall it again then. And Sygate is a firewall, no antivirus... so with only a firewall you are not protected.

oh no it was Avast that popped up saying Abort this connection type message

so with only a firewall you are not protected.

is this Panda software free ? is there a downloadable version ?

ofcourse the online one is good but i mean for future use

EDIT: yes i see the download section of the site hehe

is there some limit ? does it need to be paid for after so long?

its just the word 'try' sticks out as saying FREE but you will need to pay after 30 days thats all lol

No Panda is shareware. You have to pay for it after the trial has expired to keep you up to date.

Never install more than one antivirusscanner or firewall on your system! Several together can give problems and decrease the reliability of it seriously!

ooooooooooook it seems as if it is real hehe

"avast has detected a virus operating in the memory..."

"it is strongly reccomended you restart" ... and let avast do its work

OK I am going for that and rebooting lol

back in a bit
