Hi, I have an hp pavilion desktop model p6126fb with an AMD Athlon x2 processor 64 bit running windows7 with a hp monitor model hp2159m . The monitor went black. I tried restarting and it remained black. I ended up pressing f12 on reboot for system recovery because system restore was not turned on. It recommended to back up my files so I started back up. After about 30 min. the screen was black and would not respond. I tried restarting, the monitor said no signal so I checked all connections. I found the cd for the monitor but no response. I tried rebooting with the cd left in but no response. I found earlier recovery cd's I made and tried those with no response. I tried leaving the cd in and rebooting, still no response. The computer is 3 years old so I'd like to find a fix. Earlier I had the monitor go black and recover and it said the Nvidia display driver failed and recovered. Can someone please help me with this. Herb

HELLO HERB1!

It seems like your are having a issue with your graphics card-->

Does your computer tower turn on?

If yes{
You would need to check out the drivers for that graphics card
Is it on board or pci-express? You would need to go into Safemode
then reload graphic drivers
}
else
{
your computer might have another issue more than likely hardware related.
Have you checked your power supply to make sure it is not failing intermittently?
}

This should get you started

**** END ****
