I was trying to uninstall microsoft office 2007 completely but i kept getting an error message so i yahoo answered my question.
I was following the instructions of this answer. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070927235313AAKgp6Z
I got down to where I was removing the registry keys but was going step by step so I hadn't read the full paragraph.
I realised that I was deleting the wrong keys because my laptop is the 64 bit version of microsoft windows.
When I realised what I had done I tried to restore my computer but this message came up [illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion]
Which I think meant that one of the registry keys i deleted was controlling(?) that part of being able to use system restore.
I can't go on the internet anymore. I get that blue screen that says aw snap something went wrong [g. chrome]

I really need to know how to get my laptop to how it was before i decided to do this stupid dumb deleting thing.

I really need to use the computer and internet to do my assignments. I am in year 11 and in one of my most intense terms at school right now. I really don't need more stress. I've really just brought this all on myself. I should have just left it, because it wasn't doing any harm, it's just that it wouldn't work so I really had no use for microsoft office 2007. upset help me if you can.

thanks in advance if you reply to this

This is not a programming issue. I am going to move it to a place where it should get more visibility.

EDIT: The only way I can think to fix your issue without a complete reformat is to do a registry backup from a known good computer, and restore it via reg.exe (command line). That might restore the registry enough so that you can roll your system back to a known good restore point.
