So today, I was playing TF2 during a thunderstorm. Stupid for me to do, I know, so I stopped and put my laptop in sleep mode. When I came back, my laptop was hot(the graphics card usually gets hot)
it started up faster than usual, and when I logged on, instead of the normal win7 theme, I got windows classic. My internet doesn't work, my sound doesn't work. There's nothing on the right side of the bottom bar but an x for sound and the battery. what just happened and how do I fix this???

Did you try checking your device manager or run dxdiag to check on the chipset components status?

Hi,

you may like to know that during a thunderstorm, not only should you turn off the pc,

but disconnect from the mains as well,to be on the safe side.

Just my two cents worth.

Have you tried a System Restore to a time before the problems started?
