Hello .. i have selected a desktop pc for my home use. It is a intel i5-2320 processor and has 6 gigs of RAM. There are two ram cards in it. One is 4gb and other is 2gb. Both of the rams are identical but differ in memory size. Both are DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz Memories. So, please tell me that will I be able to take advantage of dual channel memory capability?

Dual channel mode requires that the memory be matched. Best results come from buying matched pairs. For the reason that will get you the same everything.

For maximum stability you want the same brand, model, speed, size, timings, Hardware version. I have seen where the same model changes over time.

Yours will run in single channel mode.

It may not be that critical to be honest. Many laptops come with 3Gb of memory. I 2Gb and 1 1Gb and they run fine.

By the way they are not identical when the amount of memory is different.
