os 10.6.8 on macbook pro

I'd like to delete some files bypassing trash and w/out using terminal. In windows I'd use shift-delete, I think. Googling I read ctrl-del worked on mac and I tried it and it seemed to work, but not on all files. Then I got a message that suggested I was moving files rather than deleting them. I also read that a program such as muCommander was needed.

There is no way that I know of to bypass Trash without 3rd party apps (don't know of any) or using an Automator actions (last one I saw was for OSX 10.4). The only quick way is to use keyboard shortcuts, Command + Delete to move to Trash then Command + Option + Shift + Delete keys to empty Trash without confirmation. Someone might know more about this than I do and I hope they can help you with it pretty soon.
