Hey,

When I turn on my computer, windows won't load, all I see is my desktop picture. I tried waiting, and clicking ctrl + alt + delete, and then running "explorer.exe", but it didn't work. I finally got it working by going to safe mode with networking, but I can't keep doing this, can anyone help me?

I'm terribly sorry if this post violates any forum rule, but the window is huge, and I assume it isn't good to keep on on safe mode for a long time.

Thanks in advance.

No it does not violate any rules. As a matter of fact this is what the forum is for.
Have you tried theLast Known Good Configuration in Safe Mode (F8)?

Soloway, it looks like there is probably malware present on your system causing your explorer to crash... since it works in safe mode.

Please take a look here:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/34773/preparation-guide-for-use-before-using-malware-removal-tools-and-requesting-help/

and post a hijackthislog in the right forumpart.

Just to clarify, since I must leave soon. I'm supposed follow all those steps in there, correct?

Just making sure, so that I don't go and do the wrong thing when I get the time later tonight.

I suppose you already have an antivirus installed on your system? If so, then it's ok to just post your hijackthislog in the right forum there.

No antivirus on this computer. I probably should have mentioned that.

Aaaww... so no protection at all. This doesn't sound good at all.
Hmm, since your explorer doesn't load in normal mode and it only runs in safe mode, don't install an antivirus yet, cause it won't properly install in safe mode either.

So should I try to follow the steps in that guide you linked me to? (I haven't read through all of the steps yet.)
