Hi, im thinking about enroling in the MRU, but i was wondering what the program entails/covers (apart from the obvious, malware removal). Not entirely sure if this is the right place.

thanks

Hello shadowoflinux,

I am currently enrolled at Malware Removal University. I am a helper trainee there learning how to fight and eliminate malware. First of all when you join the bootcamp, you start off with one of three 'Starter Exercises' that teach you how to learn skills you will need to do the practice logs.

Next, you do practice logs, starting with easy, moving on to intermediate, and then finally, ending with advanced. After each log has been completed, you must wait at least 48 hours until you post the next one.

Once you complete the practice logs, you must move on to live logs and check my fix. Live logs are where a teacher uses some sort of protected environment to infect themselves with malware and sees how well you can remove it. They act as the 'victim'.

Check My Fix is where you post fixes in a forum that regular members cannot see, to logs that regular members post asking for help. Once a teacher approves your post to make sure it is accurate and correct, you can post it to the victim with the teacher's approval.

There is also a 'shadow board' where you can shadow fixes done by others to practice your skills in malware removal.
