Hi,

Please feel free to move this post if it is in the wrong location! :)
I recently upgraded EVERYthing, and now have compatability issues with a MMORPG. The game's support group list of fixes (install in root, run as Admin, run in XPsp2/sp3 compatibility modes) hasn't helped, so they recommended HijackThis. I'm clueless about the log generated, and would like help using HijackThis to improve performance on my pc as well as things that may be interfering with the game. I regularly use CCleaner, but HijackThis seems to go a bit deeper. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

The Log:

There is no indication of malware, so log removed as we use such only for malware removal purposes and only in the log forum. And even then, we don't use it much preferring other tools. ~ OB

The program, Hijack This, actually does nothing but it simply generates a report log that you should not touch without expert advice.
I have a feeling that if you have been to the game support area / forum, they wished you to post that log there and not here -

Thank You -

Actually, I came to this blog because it was recommended by the makers of HijackThis.
But, thank you for your time. I will try somewhere else.

Hi -
Please note that I was not asking you to leave, just saying that I think the MMORPG game's support group may wish you to repost there.

>"There is no indication of malware,"< From Orange Blossom, merely meant, could you please supply some more information that may help us.
This could aid us with the problem - Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:

•Flush DNS
•Report IE Proxy Settings
•Reset IE Proxy Settings
•Report FF Proxy Settings
•Reset FF Proxy Settings
•List content of Hosts
•List IP configuration
•List last 10 Event Viewer log
•List Installed Programs
•List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
•List Minidump Files

Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.

Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.

Thank You -
