When I boot up the PC and immediately go to indexer option, it shows "indexing complete" instead of "indexer paused." However, when I clear my cache, the status changed to paused. I can replicate it on both of my Windows 7 PC.

List of user software (present on both PC):
•Inspiration 7.6
•Norton Internet Security 2012 (latest version with all updates installed)
•Microsoft Office 2007 (Student)
•Logitech SetPoint
•Microsoft Keyboard (itype)
•Microsoft LifeCam
•Adobe Flash & Adobe Shockwave
•Tracker PDF Xchange viewer (PDF reader)
•AMD VISION Engine Control Center and other graphic card updates (ATI Catalyst package)
•Latest version of Silverlight (5.1.10411.0)
•WOT (web of trust) for Internet Explorer
•Java 7 Update 4
•Internet Explorer 9

I have already run the fixit to reset the Windows search http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows_search/en-us, but as soon as I add a favorite, delete it, then reboot, the problem comes back

I also posted at Microsoft answers to see if the Microsoft guys have any answer. Please see the Microsoft Answers post for updates (I will try to cross post the results in both thread. IE any updates from the Bleeping computer thread will be posted in Microsoft Answers and vice versa.)
