Blue Screen When I Plug My Printer Up

I originally thought it was a hardware problem because everytime I would plug or unplug my printer in the usb port (which came with the computer) and turn it on I would get the blue screen of death telling me to uninstall whatever new hardware I'd installed. I'll get the actual message for you here in a bit and post that as well. It does not do this if I plug in my digital camera or anything else. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 1150 and my printer is a Dell AIO A920 Printer. This started back in October when I got the AIM virus, I thought I'd gotten rid of it so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Also I think there are some hidden processes on my computer because all I have open right now is this one window/Mozilla and my task manager says I'm running 50 processes. Is that right or is there something on my computer?

I plugged my printer in several times along with other hardware but I failed to make the blue screen of death appear (It's funny how when I don't want it it pops up and when I try to get it it's impossible :thumbsup:) Anyways, today I put a CD in to listen to it when the blue screen popped up but my computer automatically restarted which is the first time that's ever occured.

When it came back on I looked at the error report before sending it. This is all the stuff I found:

Hello Rachiela100 and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I do not see any signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean.

I do not think that the problem is malware related. Although the error message is generic it points to a hardware problem. I would suggest contacting Dell. If the error only happened when the printer was plugged in then I would think it is the printer but if it also happens with the cd player then it would suggest a mainboard or bus issue. If the computer is still under warranty then Dell should diagnose it for the source of the problem.
