Loaded in update and rebooted as instructed but it will not open .. after green line in Insperion complete screen goes black and cursor blinks in upper left corner .. Tried numerous reboots .. eliminated power and rebooted after plugging back in .. no change

This happened after a normal Windows update?

Do you have a CD or USB drive plugged into the computer? If you do, remove them and try rebooting.
