I was looking up something about RAM on the Corsair website and saw a "Start-to-Finish System Build" link. Following this I found a very well photographed step-by-step guide to building a (fairly awesome) particular system they just seemed to want to build one day.

Recommended viewing for those considering building an up-market PC, or anyone who just wishes they could....

System Build

Soltek QBIC, Pentium 4 3.0GHz, 512MB RAM, 200GB SATA HDD, ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB, Netgear 54Mb/s WAP, ridiculously expensive Satellite Broadband
Windows XP Home SP2, Trend Micro Internet Security, Firefox, Thunderbird, AdAwareSE, Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, A-squared Free, Ewido Security Suite.

Wouldn't it be nice to have enough money to build a rig like that! Wow. They want about $400 for the processor alone.

EXCELLENT and very helpful. something I need

The physical stuff seems doable and nothing out the ordinary that I can't handle. I worked on cars before and minor computer parts. The part that might boggle me down... The Oc'ing... Lol. ... of the cpu, ram, and the thing about voltage and latency. Those words and areas are too foriegn to me. ;)
