Hey gu ys,
My video card is going out on my HP 1440N Pavilion. It's flickering off for 2-3 seconds randomly (sometimes in second sometimes in minute intervals.)

So, it takes a GEForc 7300 LE. I am looking at some on Ebay, but I see some that only have what looks like a SCSI outpu8t, and some that look bigger than the card that I have.

I only need a VGA output.

Is there a cross-reference I can use if I find another model?

Thanks!

1440N? Are you sure this is the correct model? Would like to see the specs to see if you need a low profile card or not.

Are you doing any type of gaming that you would need a high-end card?

I am not. I tried Star Trek online - but, couldn't get into it.

The model is a1440N - sorry. It's an HP model.

Is this it? Pavilion a1440N

If so this card is a fairly good upgrade but I wouldn't attempt to play any games with it. 7300LE vs GT430 Comparison

nVidia GT 430 Fermi $55

Depending on the amount of performance you're looking for vs how much you want to spend you can move up or down in price range.

In that case, really any PCI or PCI-E card will do. You can get one with a VGA port, but even you get something that has DVI only you simply need to get a cheap DVI to VGA adapter.

Any of these would be fine for basic computing :thumbup2:

Just remember you should uninstall your current video drivers and install the ones associated with the card you get. You can get them from their website.
