My Pc has been infected.

I get numerous "System message - Write Error" windows that pop up - then the S.M.A.R.T. Data Recovery window pops up too...also missing most of my links on the start menu and my taskbar.

The System message windows seem to disappear after a while....and when I close the Data Recovery Window - I'm logged out and the computer is restarted.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Edition.

Thx in advance for the help.

Follow this guide

Let me know how it went.

Note:Do not delete your system restore points. This may be useful to restore your missing startmenu programs.

good luck

Hi - just wanted to let youknow that the solution proposed seems to have worked. I'm not getting the warnings anymore - but my computer still seems to be running slowly - is this common? Thanks!
