COMPUTER: HP Pavilion elite w/ Windows 7 Home Premium

PRINTER: HP Photosmart C4680

Am having trouble printing photos in color from an internal picture file using Windows Live Photo Gallery. Can print in color from a scanned photo. Can print documents in color.

Cartridge is a new HP 60 color and has been aligned. Printer settings have been set to print color photos. I must have missed something or am doing something wrong??

A quick search using "hp Photosmart C4680 printer forum" gives me a few hits that might help you. I suggest you look at installing the latest drivers and tools from HP.

Following this link titled: "I Can't Scan in Windows Using HP Software" Might help as well if its related to it being a scanned photo.

Such things may occur because the printer software is damaged...especially if things worked properly before.

I would uninstall it and then reinstall it and the printer driver.

Right click a photo and choose "Print" from the menu. This will launch the Windows 7 Printing Wizard and send the image to your printer. Follow the prompts after which you'll get a "Print preview" together with options to scale the image to a different size etc.

If the problem persists, here's the HP Support site for that particular model: HP Photosmart C4680
