Hello everyone, I'm currently trying to download a game, and cannot make it past the Setup.. The error reads----- An error [-5001 : 0x8007002] has occurred while running the setup. Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor..

I've closed all my running programs on my desktop, and then attempt to run the setup again, only to continue to have the same issues. I don't know if this is a problem within the setup, or windows.. I'm not computer savvy, any and all help would be appreciated.

Hi,

My first thought would be to reboot the computer, download the file again, and make sure to right mouse click on the setup file and "Run as administrator."

If that fails, try to access support from the web site of the game you are downloading. Usually, they can provide more insite into specific error messages with their products.

Regards,
Brooks

Your missing the basic information to allow us to help you.

What OS and version are you running? (Windows XP SP2 or 7 for example?)

Do you have a legal link to this game download so it can be reviewed?

The code seems to be generic but usually points to either a missing file or permissions in my searches.

Check your "add/remove" programs window and see if it shows the application is already installed even if it failed. Remove if there and try again.

Check what the requirements for the game are. (Is the right .Net installed or java?)

Good luck.
