external hdd slow, error messages - some threads say that it is a virus?

Please expand on this statement -
You do not list any Error Messages or problems except for "Slow" , which means nothing -

If you can remove the External drive, what are your problems ?? Do you have an operating Internal HDD ??

Thank You -

Your title includes "error messages" yet there is no detail at all about such. The exact wording...what you were doing when error occurred...these details would help us to help you.
