Over the past few days my computer keeps freezing while playing Minecraft (if anyone is familiar with it...).

It happens with some other games also.

My computer is rather fast in general and I've kept it as best I can but recently while playing games again, my computer will freeze, jitter then just come to a stand-still forcing me to push the re-set button on my computer.

General stuff such as browsing internet, listening to music, watching videos is all fine and has never been a problem. At first I thought maybe it was a problem with my Display driver, as it crashed a few times before but I've updated it & updated my Java.

I'll post a few computer specs from "System Information" that I hope might be helpful and hopefully someone can help me out, maybe see a fault in why my computer keeps crashing!

If you need me to post anything to show you, just ask I'll try my best to follow your instructions :)

Thanks, all help is appreciated!

Please proceed with the below even though you say that you updated the graphics driver.

Also please try this,
Download driver sweeper from the link below run it and Checkmark the box next to Nvidia Graphics. Then hit the clean button.
MajorGeeks.Com - Contacting Download Site

Now please Reboot your machine and get a fresh copy of your driver from here.

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=en-us
Nvidia Driver Update

http://www.geforce.com/Drivers
Nvidia G Driver Update

After that then please apply this update.
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Edit: Also if your machine is indeed overclocked then clear your cmos and reset the bios to default.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/tp/clearcmos.htm

Please let us know if you get anymore bluescreens after you follow my suggestions.

• I have these three come up in the Driver Sweeper scan so I'm hoping that you only want me to checkbox the Display one:

NVIDIA - Chipset
NVIDIA - Display
NIVDIA - PhysX

• I used this website after the other one and it said my driver was already updated after installed from the link before and rebooting

http://www.geforce.com/Drivers
Nvidia G Driver Update

I also had an Optional update for:

NF-SPP-100 / nForce Go 430
Latest Driver Version: 15.01

Should I install this? What's it for?

• Direct X said I'd already had it installed / newer version was already present.
