i have no connection and it keeps trying to acquire a network address

I have the same problem as Deemaria. I ran a scan of my xp computer with Farbar Service scanner as you instructed her to do. I don't know if I can post my log here or if I need to start my own topic. I have 3 computers on my LAN.

My computer is home built with Windows XP home. It is connected wirelessly. Linksys WRT110 router. The router is about 20 feet away with a clear shot and I have a cable connection. I have been on line today but yesterday I shut down and restated many times and could never get an address, only zeros and blank spaces. Thanks for any help you can give me.
