My external harddrive, which I use for back-ups and a few other things, is at capacity. Any advice on what to buy or what not to buy? I have a three year or so old HP dv5. It has USB and eSata. I would like to get one that has 1T capacity for less than $200. Thank you for any advice on this matter.

I'd get an eSATA drive if possible; it's much faster than USB 2.0. I found this one, a 2TB USB2/eSATA/Firewire drive for $186.99; and this one, a 1TB USB2/eSATA drive for $139.99.
