I have a unique relationship with computers. I have had a PC since they first came out, and thought myself to be pretty savvy, until the internet and cable began ruining my life with viruses and spyware and the whole Parade of Horribles. I am looking for some assistnce in understanding this crazy "malicious" world.

who are these people?

The causes of malware are many, ranging from greed to criminal activity to "for the fun of it." Alas! iT average user who suffers from all of this. If you look around BC, especially in the Tutorials and security forums, you will find discussions of a layered approach to computer security- - -this includes both software and an informed computer user.
