So I have become infected with this virus today.

I did attempt to follow other suggestions in the forums...specifically Gringos post here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic450321.html

but I am still infected

Get the popup window stating that there is a write fault error and another that resources not available. I also get a message in the tray that there is a serious disk error writing device C. And of course the smart hdd pop up window itself.

All my detectors see this error but none can seem to clean it.

Thanks to any help that can be provided.

Welcome to BleepingComputer, Sax_man!

Let's see what the following short scan shows:

Please download RogueKiller

•When you get to the website, go to where it says:
(Download link) Lien de téléchargement: Posted Image
•Click the dark-blue button to download.
•Save to the Desktop

•Close all windows and browsers
•XP: Double-click the program to run it
•Vista/seven: Right-click and select 'Run as Administrator'
•Press: SCAN
•A report opens on the Desktop: RKreport.txt

Please copy/paste the RKreport.txt , and provide it in your reply.

Note:
If RogueKiller is blocked, do not hesitate to try running it again.
If it still fails to run, right-click on the downloaded icon and select: Rename
Then, rename it to winlogon.exe and try again.
