Every time when I try to open Outlook, an error appears: "The file C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst cannot be found"
When I went into that folder, there was nothing there, so I know that Outlook.pst is not corrupted, it is missing. How can I solve this issue? I tried reinstalling Microsoft office 2007, but that did not work.

Hi

The folder should be
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
instead of
C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst

Where YOUR_USER_NAME is your Windows login user name

In Outlook go to TOOLS > ACCOUNT SETTINGS
and click on the DATA FILES tab
Click ADD
Select your Outlook version if asked
Browse to your PST file which should be in...

C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst

Does that help?
James

I checked the folder C:\Users\Henry\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst, but the files arent there either. I can't start up Outlook because it continues to ask me to find the outlook.pst file.

Hi

If you can't find a .pst file on your disk then it may have been deleted or renamed.

I'm not sure what you can do except create a new .pst

James

EDIT: If you can't get far enough into Outlook to do the above, create a new profile in Outlook

Henry, right when Outlook shows you the error message, it should give you an option to either locate the pst or create a new one...
