lost the command prompt

While trying to change the default directory for the command prompt, I guess I typed in the wrong box,and now I can't find the command prompt. The window I fumble-fingered in was a shortcut. Does anybody know where it originally led?

I think you meant:

%SystemRoot%\system32\cmd.exe
