I've been trying to burn a few video files onto a DVD-R blank disc. I know the disc is compatible but when I put it in and try and burn it says there's no disc detected. Also, the DVD-ROM's light stays lite up like it's still reading but does nothing. Help appreciated and highly sought.

Have you used the DVD to write recently? Did it work OK? It's possible that you may need a firmware upgrade for the DVD writer.

Also, has anything been done inside the case recently? There may be something loose or dislodged inside the case.

I just bought a whole new pack today and it still hangs with the light on like it's reading. I haven't messed with anything internally since the day I purchased the laptop.
