Hi there one question does a macbook hog all the bandwidth because I have a roommate once and we share the same router and our internet speed was fast for the both of us then, one day he bought a macbook and for some reason she often uses it a lot and then bad things happened when we were both using the internet i suddenly realized the internet got slower when i asked here if she was experiencing it and she said no and i guessed she was hogging all the bandwidth so i am asking you guys to know if it is true or not or is there some way to share it equally again

Not really,

It depends on what applications are running when your online or downloading things at the same time or playing a high bandwidth game.

If you have an unsecured router and SSID is broadcasting people could be be connecting to your network and using your internet without your consent.
