Hi -
Do you have any buttons on the lower part of your Monitor ??
If you do, one of these usually has a Menu included, and options to adjust Bright / Contrast Etc -

Thank You -

Hold the function "Fn" key while pressing the down arrow to make the screen dimmer or the up arrow to make the screen brighter.

Also, could be a little dimmer than normal because of your power settings.

  • Click the battery icon in your systemtray (by your clock)
  • Select 'More power options'
  • On the right pane, about midway to the bottom, select "Additional power options" and select 'High Performance'

You can also select Adjust Power Plan and change the brightness for each plan.

Hi, In general on a Dell laptop you can also set the brightness for the "On AC" and "On Battery"

F2 When the Dell logo appears at power on, I seem to remember it could be under the video settings.

However The Fn + keys should be working too.

Good Luck
Roger
