Hello all, long time looker, new signer upperer. I have 4 desktops, 3 printers, nas, pvr, and various other bits and pieces in an ethernet cabled network, a mixture of xp and win 7. I have built several pcs for me and family, and so far no dramas, but I must be on borrowed time. My first pc was a 4086 with the luxury of 2 floppy drives, and dos 3.3 (i think) I believe dos gave me a good grounding which even helps me with win7. Ive joined this forum because ive noticed a lot of replies seem to be directly related to the OPs problem, and lots of responses seem straight to the point and accurate. I am no pc expert but an enthusiast with a little knowledge which is probably a recipe for disaster? Hope I can contribute?
