I have SpywareGuard on the tray. I see SpywareGuard listed in Start - Run - Msconfig - Startup with a checkmark. I also have SpywareGuard listed in Start - Programs - SpywareGuard as well as Start - Programs - Startup. (Does this have to be checked in Start - Run - msconfig and appear on the tray as well as being in Strat - Programs - Startup? I am confused - Is this loading from 2 places? When it is on the tray, it uses 9% to 10% of my resources at startup.

I only see Spywareguard in my startup folder..not a run entry. You may want to do this:

Create a directory on your hardrive, to save HijackThis.exe, called c:\hijackthis. This is a mandatory step, for the backup and restore functions, of HijackThis, to be able to work.

Download the latest version, from here.
