Can't Run Ipod Anymore.

When I plug my ipod in to my computer a message pops up saying USB device not recognized,I dont know what to do anymore. I'm really sad. TEll me if you need a hijack this report

Before we go chasing spyware, uninstall I-Tunes and download / install the latest version. I also find it handy to have the ipod in the dock or plugged in to some power source before attaching it to a PC. Also, check with Apple for firmware updates to your ipod AFTER you get it recognized once again.

I had a problem once with my 40 gig i-pod being stuck in Device Mode (acts like a hard disk instead of an MP3 player) and I had to go through a long troubleshooting FAQ at apple.com. If you can play music on yours, you don't have that problem.
